Paid Time Off: Planning Your Vacations
For expats, being able to visit home or travel to new destinations is a top priority. The Saudi Labor Law makes this easy by granting generous paid annual leave. Once you have completed your first year of service, you are entitled to a minimum of 21 days of fully paid vacation every year. Even better, once you have stayed with the same employer for five years, your mandatory leave increases to 30 days. This allows you plenty of time to recharge and spend quality moments with your family without worrying about your income.
In addition to your annual leave, you also get to enjoy several public holidays throughout the year. These include the festive periods of Eid Al-Fitr and Eid Al-Adha, as well as the celebratory Saudi National Day and Founding Day. During these holidays, most workers are given several days off with full pay. This combination of personal vacation time and national holidays ensures that you have ample opportunity to explore the Middle East or head back home for a long visit. It is a system designed to keep you happy, refreshed, and motivated throughout your journey in the Kingdom.
